- Bias: Fade the spike, especially if counter to the overall trend.
Setup:
- 30-Minute Range: Mark the high/low from 6:00–6:30 AM IST.
- Fixing Flow: If USD/JPY spikes into the fix, wait for a 5–10 min candle close.
- Fade Entry: Enter against the move if price fails to break the spike high/low.
Stop: 10 pips beyond the spike.
Target: 30–50 pips or VWAP reversion.
🎯 Example: If USD/JPY spikes up 40 pips into the fix, short it if momentum stalls, targeting a retracement.
📈 2. London 4 PM Fix Rebalance (EUR/USD, GBP/USD, DXY)
- Time: 4:00 PM GMT (9:30 PM IST)
- Bias: Play the momentum or catch the reversal.
Setup:
- Pre-Fix Move: Watch for a directional push 30 mins before the fix.
- Volume Surge: If volume spikes and price extends far from VWAP, look for exhaustion.
- Reversal Entry: Wait for a 5-min candle close against the move to confirm a reversal.
Stop: 10–15 pips outside the extreme.
Target: 25–50 pips or 50% retracement of the fix move.

- Fixing Flow Push: Enter in the direction of the trend if price surges into the fix.
- Ride the Flow: Let the trade run with a trailing stop.
Stop: 15–20 pips or $5 in gold.
Target: 2x stop distance, or exit on loss of momentum.
